The French Open, 2021
.. its time for the Paris Grand Slam ! ... some seed numbers ;

3 - Nadal - A seeding quirk has placed Nadal, Federer, and Djokovic all in the top half of the draw
5 - Tsitsipas - A top clay player, and in the bottom half will avoid the above big three
15 - Ruud - A new Norwegian star who has made recent Semi finals in Monte Carlo and Madrid
18 - Sinner - highly rated Italian teenager makes his first seeding at a Slam

... and the women ;

3 - Sabalenka - has the raw strength and power to beat anyone on her day
8 - Swiatek - won it last year at just 19, great clay player
9 - Pliskova - on top form until a humiliation at the recent Italian final
24 - Gauff - won the warm - up Parma tournament last week
.

Nice to see Jack DRAPER get a wildcard. Doing very well on the challenger circuit so it's well deserved

She's a very talented tennis player. Injuries look like ruining her career sadly

I see Alex DE MINAUR has got his filthy Australian MITS into her now.

A year at Wimbledon without her drooling middle aged stalkers might be best for the girl.

More importantly, Katie BOULTER had to pull out of her quarter final in Nottingham yesterday while leading.
Having just come back from a year out would be very cruel to miss WIMBERS.

Misposted on the Euro thread FFS

Understand the seedings are based solely on current rankings (there was a time when tournaments had some flexibility) & obviously with Nadal having a back injury during 2021 he has slipped down slightly after missing matches.
Was just pointing out that THAT causes anomalies like here where Nadal has the greatest record of any player at any tournament.
Realistically Nadal & Djokovic should have been 1 & 2 and met in the final.
Nadal reckons he will be back next year at 36 .... reckon he and Federer will do one more year in 2022 before calling it a day.

Re: The French Open, 2021
Nadal has been playing the French Open for 15 years
Played 102 matches and won 100 including 13 finals and they have just put a statue up of him at Roland Garros

SO THE FRENCH HAVE SEEDED HIM 3 (THREE)

looks like they called it right. Time catching up on him
